SIO Tips no. 60: Choosing a new colour Scheme

Paint lollipop sticks with the color you're painting  the walls in your house; take with you on shopping trips to match furniture, curtains, decorations, etc.

Write the make and name of the color on the back of the stick along with which room it's used and keep for easy reference in case you need to touch up the paintwork in the future.

Spring now you see it, now you don't.

Spring; has it sprung or not? The weather might have the birds confused and the snowdrops unsure whether to open or not but the lambs are arriving regardless. A tough year for farmers in the UK with damp unusable fields and huge feed bills.
Little lambs do not fare well in the cold rain, they are tough but rain is an enemy so many will have to stay in doors or close to the farm where space allows.
Also this year there is a terrible disease hitting unborn lambs, and many will sadly be still born. Those out will have to try to keep warm, mum often making a soft warm bed as youngsters climb up and sit on her.
The higher the farm land the later the lambs, those in the mountains often waiting til April to lamb and better weather.
So, when you see a field of new born lambs be grateful, as this year it's not going to be a sight as common as normal.

Jubilee Mania

With the big build up to the Jubilee, the games and a summer of Rule Britannia just wonder how many will have a lasting legacy to remember.  Will it just be a crumpled rain splattered row of paper butting to remind you or something far more special.

A special picnic with lots of photo's to keep the memories alive.  A family or solo project to make the decorations, bake a special cake or create something fashionable to last long after the moment has gone.  What could you do to give your Jubilee more of an impact - the possibilities are endless.  The important thing is to look back later and smile as the memories flood back.

So are you ready, only days to go and what have you decided to do.  You do not have to follow the Union Jack theme, you can create anything you like.  Knit a hat or crochet a cushion cover in any colour safe in the knowledge that every time you put on your hat or plump up your cushion you will know that was your very own Jubilee project.  So better get cracking spring will not last long, it will be Jubilee and summer before you know it!
